About the Designer

I, Maya Avery, am the creator and designer for Insignia MSA. I am self taught, I hand make every garment, and I run all business operations of the company.

I am a student at Howard University studying biology but have an interest in fashion. While biology and fashion don’t typically go together, I am passionate about pursuing all of my interests and sharing my work with others in both fields.

I believe people should live life trying to be the best version of themselves whether its mentally, spiritually or physically, and when you look good you definitely feel good. Clothes are a reflection of one's feelings. So why not wear unique garments to express our authentic selves?
