INSIGNIA MSA is a New York–based, Black woman–owned fashion label founded in 2020. We create ready-to-wear pieces that blend subversive design with a modern, everyday sensibility. Every garment is made to empower, elevate, and feel intentional in your wardrobe.

The name Insignia represents a symbol of achievement and distinction, reflecting our ethos: to empower you to be your best self. Our designs draw on soft punk subversive and dystopian inspiration, creating clothing and imagery that is provocative, expressive, and effortlessly wearable.

We believe in sustainability and thoughtful consumption. To reduce waste, all items are made-to-order or pre-order, crafted with longevity, quality, and purpose; not fast-fashion.

Insignia started with founder Maya Avery, a Howard University Graduate(Biology), designing and sewing orders from her bedroom, and has since expanded to ethical production partners while maintaining small-batch attention to detail.
